Gaylaxicon is the annual international gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender & friends Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, and Gaming Convention, held in a different city each year hosted by a local GLBTQ fan organization.
Gaylaxicon 2007 was held in beautiful midtown Atlanta, GA on October 5 - 8, 2007 (Columbus Day weekend). All humans, aliens and multi-forms were welcome.
About The Con:
G'con 2007 had all the standard con fare: panels, dances, films, receptions, celebrities, a costume contest, etc. Plus, there was all the things that have become a part of the Gaylaxicon tradition: the Chocolate Symposium, the SF Jeopardy! Game, the Ice Cream Social, and all the rest. live music, a performance of "Rocky Horror Picture Show", and many other surprises!
For nightlife, we went to gay/lesbian bars like Blake's, Burkhart's, Miss Q's,Red Chair and others and met some of the locals and experience a bit of the Atlanta vibe. At current count, there are 21 bars and clubs within two miles of the hotel!
And trust me...it would simply take far too long to list here all of the restaurants just within a matter of blocks from the hotel, much less all 455 that are within two miles of the hotel!
